Modern Mexican cuisine restaurant is seeking an Executive Chef to spearhead redefining and elevating current offerings! Looking for an Executive Chef that will collaborate on the menu that consists of regional recipes inspired by their areas they come from – while also leading a successful operation. With a progressive kitchen culture in place, the ideal chef should be warm, a mentor, and committed to championing a people-first mentality in the workplace.
Executive Chef Responsibilities include:
- Leading a healthy and dynamic kitchen team
- Culinary admin: ordering, inventory, scheduling, etc
- Effectively manage costs and labor
- R&D, menu development and engineering
- Mentor and train the team with a hands on approach
- Ensuring that all food meets the highest standards of quality and consistency
Executive Chef Preferred Requirements:
- 3+ years of senior culinary leadership as an Executive Chef in a high volume operation
- Mexican cuisine technical knowledge and passion for the region
- Spanish language capabilities a huge plus!
- Excellent communication skills and leadership qualities
- Exceptional standards for cleanliness, health, and safety
- Expert knowledge and fully fluent in P&L, managing inventory, and cost controls
- Flexible schedule, including weekends, and on holidays
Compensation includes:
- Base salary in $95k-$110k range
- PTO plan
- Group medical plan
- Cell phone allowance
