Very successful and popular Los Angeles restaurant group is looking for a dynamic, hands-on Unit Director to join their leadership team as they enter an exciting phase of growth. This role will start off overseeing one of the groups’ higher volume locations, before helping spearhead a new restaurant opening and transitioning into a multi-unit role in Q1 of 2026. Overtime, it is the expectation that this role could grow into overseeing 4 or more locations for the group. For each location, this role will be responsible for the support of all restaurant operations including but not limited to: new store openings, manager development; recruitment/training; food, beverage, and service quality and consistency; HR compliance; cost management, systems, and driving sales.
The ideal candidate has a proven background in multi-unit management & restaurant operations, is strong with systems and structure, and passionate about remaining hands on and involved with every aspect of the operation. Responsibilities Include:
- Work as a resource for all operators and leadership in the group. Nurture those relationships, and help support their vision
- Develop and implement operational strategies, policies, and procedures across all restaurants to ensure consistency and efficiency
- Help oversee bar/beverage and wine programs, including inventory, staff training, beverage COGs, and beverage quality/consistency
- Oversee financial performance, including budgeting, cost control, and revenue optimization
- Monitor key performance indicators (KPIs) and implement corrective actions as necessary to achieve operational goals
- Lead and mentor restaurant managers and staff, fostering a culture of teamwork, accountability, and continuous improvement
- Maintain a presence in the restaurants on a regular basis
- Take initiative and help to build business and brand in the short and long term
- Work to standardize any manuals or forms that can better help streamline operations through the restaurants
- Lead and guide management teams through new restaurant openings while overseeing all the pieces of critical path
- Ensure compliance with health, safety, and sanitation standards in accordance with local regulations and company policies
- Collaborate with culinary teams to maintain high-quality food and beverage offerings and exceptional guest experiences
- Work closely with the executive team to develop and execute strategies that drive profitability, enhance guest satisfaction, and maintain high standards of quality
- Foster strong relationships with vendors, suppliers, and other external partners to ensure seamless operations and cost-effective procurement
- Stay updated on industry trends, competition, and customer preferences to identify opportunities for innovation and improvement
- Consistently work to ensure that all activities are consistent with and supportive of the company’s culture and brand standards
Candidate Requirements:
- 5-6+ years of progressive, full-service restaurant management experience with at least 2-3 years of experience in a multi-unit role (Regional or Area Director, Director of Operations, Multi-Unit General Manager (GM), or comparable role)
- High-volume, corporate restaurant experience is highly preferred
- Prior exposure to new restaurant opening procedures is a big plus
- Strong bar/beverage experience and wine knowledge is required, including cocktail execution, inventory, and team training
- Strong passion for hospitality and the ability to oversee multiple direct reports
- Established background in structured environments and standard operating procedures
- Ability to thrive in a high-volume, fast-paced environment
- Meticulous attention to detail and equally service and systems-oriented
- Willingness to be very hands on and to learn and grow
- Energetic, positive, reliable and dependable
- Exceptional leadership and team management skills, with the ability to motivate, train, and inspire a diverse workforce

- Flexible schedule including weekends and holidays as needed
- Ability to travel between primary restaurant locations in the greater Los Angeles area as needed
- Ability to work weekends (Friday-Sunday) for 3-6 months surrounding new store openings
Compensation Package Includes:
- Base Salary in the $110-155k range DOE
