Sous Chef – Popular Italian Restaurant

Very popular Italian concept is looking for a talented hands-on Sous Chef to join the team. The restaurant uses quality ingredients to create simple, unfussy, yet exceptionally delicious dishes. Very exciting time to join a popular concept with low turnover and future growth plans!

Sous Chef Responsibilities:

  • Provide exemplary hands-on leadership to the team, including coaching and mentorship
  • Ensure all food meets the highest standards of quality and consistency
  • Support Executive Chef where possible
  • Maintain proper ordering, prep lists, and inventory
  • Ensure best practices for safety and sanitation in the kitchen

Sous Chef Preferred Requirements:

  • 2 years’ past experience as a Sous Chef, Junior Sous Chef or Kitchen Manager
  • Previous experience in an all scratch high-volume kitchen required
  • Italian experience, with knowledge of pastas and pizza 
  • Spanish language skills a plus 
  • Exceptional standards for cleanliness, health, and safety
  • Flexible schedule, including nights, weekends, and holidays

Compensation / Benefits:

  • Base Salary of $70k-$75k or $28-$30/hr (based on a 40-50 hour week)
