Very popular Italian concept is looking for a talented hands-on Sous Chef to join the team. The restaurant uses quality ingredients to create simple, unfussy, yet exceptionally delicious dishes. Very exciting time to join a popular concept with low turnover and future growth plans!
Sous Chef Responsibilities:
- Provide exemplary hands-on leadership to the team, including coaching and mentorship
- Ensure all food meets the highest standards of quality and consistency
- Support Executive Chef where possible
- Maintain proper ordering, prep lists, and inventory
- Ensure best practices for safety and sanitation in the kitchen
Sous Chef Preferred Requirements:
- 2 years’ past experience as a Sous Chef, Junior Sous Chef or Kitchen Manager
- Previous experience in an all scratch high-volume kitchen required
- Italian experience, with knowledge of pastas and pizza
- Spanish language skills a plus
- Exceptional standards for cleanliness, health, and safety
- Flexible schedule, including nights, weekends, and holidays
Compensation / Benefits:
- Base Salary of $70k-$75k or $28-$30/hr (based on a 40-50 hour week)
