Sous Chef – 4 Day Workweek!

Ingredient-driven independent restaurant from a well-respected chef is seeking a passionate Sous Chef to join the team. Knowledge of and respect for high-quality ingredients is a must. Ideally looking for candidates from high level kitchens focused on technique!

Sous Chef Responsibilities:

  • Extensive fish fabrication
  • Proactively lead, mentor and coach the team 
  • Administrative duties to include: ordering, receiving, quality control, and inventory of all product
  • Create a positive work environment that promotes teamwork, performance feedback, recognition, mutual respect and employee satisfaction
  • Ensure the kitchen is clean, sanitized, and organized at all times, adhering to established food safety guidelines

 

Sous Chef Requirements:

  • 2+ years of experience as a Sous Chef, Kitchen Supervisor, Junior Sous Chef or Kitchen Manager in a respected kitchen or operation
  • Experience with high-quality seafood and its fabrication
  • Excitement for delivering ingredient-driven high-quality food to the guest
  • Excellent communication and leadership skills and the ability to genuinely motivate others
  • Flexible schedule to include nights, weekends, and holidays

 

Compensation includes:

  • TIPPED, 40 hours/week position that is a 4 day schedule. Base pay of $20-$22/hour, with an estimated total compensation of $35-$40/hour inclusive of tips
