An internationally award-winning hospitality group in Hong Kong is seeking an exceptional Italian cuisine specialist. They are searching for a hands-on multiunit Executive Chef with a background in trattorias, neapolitan pizza, and scratch pasta programs. The ideal chef is a dynamic culinary leader who brings an entrepreneurial mindset, a strong sense of ownership, and the ability to lead with both creativity and operational excellence.
Fantastic opportunity for an Executive Chef looking to step up into multiunit position, within a growing restaurant group recognized for cultivating long-term leadership across its portfolio. Relocation to Hong Kong is required (that the company supports with Visa and relocation). Strong benefits include five weeks combined paid time off.
Executive Chef Responsibilities:
- Lead multiple Italian restaurants, ensuring high-quality, ingredient-driven dishes while staying within budget
- Partner with senior leadership and chefs to execute and uphold each restaurant’s vision
- Implement best practices for ordering, receiving, handling, and storing products
- Support recruitment, onboarding, training, and development of culinary teams
- Own kitchen P&Ls, budgets, inventories, and cost controls, identifying operational efficiencies
- Foster a culture of accountability, teamwork, and alignment with company core principles
Executive Chef Preferred Requirements:
- 5+ years as an Executive or Head Chef in respected restaurants or 1+ year in a multiunit leadership role (Regional Chef, Culinary Director, Corporate Chef, Area Chef, etc.)
- Background in ingredient-driven Italian cuisine required with a focus on neapolitan style pizza and in-house pasta programs
- Ability to relocate internationally and commit to visa sponsorship (two year visa)
- Multi-Unit experience a plus
- World’s 50 Best, Michelin, or James Beard experience in the past a bonus!
- Proven leadership, team-building, and mentorship skills
- Strong organizational and time management abilities
- Clear and effective communicator with high emotional intelligence
- Demonstrated financial acumen with experience managing P&Ls and labor budgets
- Exceptional standards for cleanliness, health, and safety
- Flexible schedule, including weekends, and on holidays
Compensation / Benefits:
- Base salary in the range of approximately USD $120-$150k annually (based on fluctuating currency rates and paid in HKD)
