Celebrated DTLA restaurant is seeking an experienced, service-driven Floor Manager to join the team! This highly acclaimed restaurant features a locally sourced menu inspired by what’s in season, a heavily curated and modern bar/wine program, and strong catering/event capabilities. Looking for someone with excellent leadership skills who can build a rapport with staff, establish a positive relationship with guests, and provide a consistently warm, memorable dining experience while leading the team by example. Some working wine knowledge is required, and for candidates with a higher degree of experience and interest in wine, there is potential for this role to become more involved with managing the wine program overtime. This person will also support with event execution as needed, and any prior event experience is a plus. Floor Manager Responsibilities:
- Oversee the FOH team and own the floor during service
- Ensure the team is knowledgeable on menu items and beverage offerings
- Hire, train, motivate and coach team members
- Provide support for the GM and upper management in positive, collaborative manner
- Basic understanding of ordering, inventory, and scheduling
- Perform all aspects of the job with a high level of professionalism and integrity
- Ensure an exceptional guest experience in all areas and resolve any guest issues that may arise
- Contribute to upholding a positive, inclusive work environment
- Help oversee and execute onsite events in collaboration with the events team
- Maintain, support, and promote company culture and philosophies
- Take initiative to help build the business and get to know repeat customers and higher-profile clientele
- Contribute to controlling costs and maximizing efficiencies
- Maintain extremely high standards for health, safety, and sanitation
- Hold team accountable to high standards of service while remaining hands on and leading by example
- Assess employee performance and provide helpful feedback and training opportunities
- Continuously look for new opportunities to develop the team and help them grow
- Understand and comply with CA labor laws
Floor Manager Qualifications:
- 3-4+ years’ experience as Restaurant Assistant General Manager (AGM), Senior Manager, Restaurant Manager, Food & Beverage Manager, Dining Room Manager, FOH Manager, Hospitality Manager, or comparable title in a full-service, upscale or fine dining restaurant, hotel, or comparable hospitality concept is required
- Some working knowledge of wine is required, advanced knowledge a big plus!
- Passion for high-quality food, beverage, and service
- Some prior exposure to overseeing and executing onsite events
- Basic understanding of administrative functions and controlling cost of goods
- Reliable and punctual with very strong attention to detail
- Excellent communication skills, both verbal and written
- Strong sense of integrity and initiative
- Warm and inspiring personality with a desire to learn and grow
- Strong interpersonal, leadership, coaching, and conflict resolution skills
- Ability to prioritize and manage time effectively

Compensation Package Includes:
