Chef de Cuisine – Westside Steakhouse

Beautiful westside steakhouse is seeking a talented Chef de Cuisine to come on board. Chef de Cuisine Responsibilities:

  • Create unique, memorable dishes using only the highest caliber ingredients in collaboration with leadership
  • Ensure all food meets the highest standards of quality and consistency
  • Day to day management of kitchen providing exemplary leadership to the team
  • Participate in hiring and training of culinary team members 
  • Maintain proper ordering, scheduling and inventory
  • Follow and enforce best practices for safety and sanitation in the kitchen

 

Chef de Cuisine Requirements & Preferences:

  • 2+ years’ experience as a Senior Sous Chef, Executive Sous Chef, CDC, Executive Chef or 3+ years as a Sous Chef
  • Past steak and raw seafood experience in respected ingredient-driven scratch kitchens
  • Live-fire cooking experience
  • Hands-on and ability to thrive in a lean team environment
  • Excellent communication skills and leadership qualities
  • Exceptional standards for cleanliness, health, and safety
  • Knowledge of managing inventory, and cost controls
  • Flexible schedule, including nights, weekends, and on holidays

 

Compensation / Benefits:

  • Base Salary in the $85k-$100k range
