Chef de Cuisine Responsibilities:
- Menu development in collaboration with leadership and recipe costing, keeping track of new trends in the industry
- Ensure all food meets the highest standards of quality and consistency
- Hire, train, develop and mentor culinary team members, driving a positive, respectful work environment
- Communicate with vendors regarding ordering, new product offerings, pricing, and all other product-related issues
- Maintain proper ordering and inventory
- Follow best practices for safety and sanitation in the kitchen
Chef de Cuisine Preferred Requirements:
- 3+ years of experience in a similar position (Senior Sous Chef, Executive Sous Chef, CDC)
- Italian cuisine background including traditional pizza cookery
- Excellent communication skills and leadership qualities
- Creative, innovative thinking
- Exceptional standards for cleanliness, health, and safety
- Experience managing inventory and cost controls
- Flexible schedule, including nights, weekends, and on holidays
