Chef de Cuisine – Rustic Italian

Wood-fired, neighborhood Italian concept is seeking a talented Chef de Cuisine to lead the team. Celebrating high-quality ingredients, the menu offers rustic, thoughtfully prepared, innovative food. Chef de Cuisine Responsibilities:

  • Menu development in collaboration with leadership and recipe costing, keeping track of new trends in the industry
  • Ensure all food meets the highest standards of quality and consistency
  • Hire, train, develop and mentor culinary team members, driving a positive, respectful work environment
  • Communicate with vendors regarding ordering, new product offerings, pricing, and all other product-related issues
  • Maintain proper ordering and inventory
  • Follow best practices for safety and sanitation in the kitchen

 

Chef de Cuisine Preferred Requirements:

  • 3+ years of experience in a similar position (Senior Sous Chef, Executive Sous Chef, CDC)
  • Italian cuisine background including traditional pizza cookery
  • Excellent communication skills and leadership qualities
  • Creative, innovative thinking
  • Exceptional standards for cleanliness, health, and safety
  • Experience managing inventory and cost controls
  • Flexible schedule, including nights, weekends, and on holidays
