This is a hands-on role that will be involved with all aspects of the business, including scheduling/training, general administrative, guest service, and working the floor. Assistant General Manager Responsibilities:
- Help oversee the FOH team in collaboration with the Restaurant GM
- Perform all aspects of the job with a high level of professionalism and integrity
- Establish and uphold positive work culture
- Ensure the team is well educated on menu items
- Help train new and current team members on proper guest steps of service
- Provide Support for GM in a positive manner
- Maintain cooperative relationships with all vendors, business partners, and staff
- Encourage opportunities for the team to learn and grow
- Continually strive to educate and develop of staff as it relates to food, beverage, and service
- Ensure stellar guest experience in all areas
- Solve any guest issues in a timely and appropriate manner
- Remain hands on throughout the entire shift and when on the floor during service
- Hold the team accountable to high standards while remaining hands on and leading by example
- Assess employee performance and providing helpful feedback and training opportunities
- Ensure quality and consistency of all products served
- Ensure all equipment is kept clean and in excellent working condition.
- Be knowledgeable of restaurant policies regarding personnel and deliver prompt, fair and consistent corrective action for any and all violations of company policies, rules and procedures.
- Fully understand and comply with all federal, state, county and municipal regulations that pertain to health, safety, and labor requirements
Assistant General Manager Qualifications:
- Minimum 2 years’ experience as Restaurant Assistant General Manager (AGM) or 4+ years as a Restaurant Manager, Food & Beverage Manager, Dining Room Manager, FOH Manager, or Hospitality Manager in a full-service, upscale restaurant environment or comparable concept
- Progressive hospitality leadership experience and proven track record of longevity in past roles
- Strong wine & beverage knowledge is a plus
- Inspiring leader and motivator to staff and management
- Proven knowledge of and passion for food, beverage, and steps of service
- Collaborative and thoughtful with a lead by example approach
- Willingness to learn, grow, and be mentored

- Food safety certification
Compensation Package Includes:
- Base Salary in the $90-95k range DOE
