This highly acclaimed catering group is seeking a Vice President of Operations to be responsible and accountable for overseeing all activities and strategy whilst assuming responsibility for the support of management- Director of Sales, Director of Operations, Director of Finance, and Executive Chef. The Vice President of Operations will ensure execution at the highest levels for catering and events, and be an integral part of leadership.

 

Candidate Responsibilities:

  • Work as a resource for all Chef/Partners in the group. Nurture those relationships and help support their vision as it’s consistent with the Group’s values
  • Prepares reports by collecting, analyzing, and summarizing data and trends
  • Build annual budgets for all restaurants with review from President, COO, and CFO. Train all GMs on budgets and hold them accountable for the numbers
  • Problem solve and work to fix issues and train management staff to continue improvements
  • Work to standardize any manuals or forms that can better help streamline operations through the restaurants
  • Monitor business performance to identify emerging trends and areas of opportunity, including new technology or service models
  • Provide structures, support and training for new projects and help evaluate potential opportunities
  • Work to standardize any manuals or forms that can better help streamline operations
  • Help source, implement, refine and streamline company systems¬†
  • Support culinary operations to maintain food, beverage and labor cost

Candidate Requirements:

  • 10-15 years catering experience
  • Offsite catering prerequisite
  • Strategic background with a passion for hospitality
  • Must have reliable personal transportation, a valid driver’s license and proof of insurance
  • Must have a telephone or other reliable method of communicating with all employees
  • Able to work a minimum of 50 hours per week
  • Must be able to work flexible hours necessary to manage and oversee operations effectively
  • Requires long stretches of standing, occasional carrying, pushing or pulling of items up to 50 lbs in weight
