Luxury oceanfront hotel is seeking a Sous Chef for its beachside restaurant. The restaurant features seasonal, Californian coastal cuisine and offers breathtaking, panoramic views of the ocean! Benefits, parking + SIGNING BONUS!

Responsibilities include:

  • Ensuring that all food meets the highest standards of quality and consistency
  • Leading and mentoring a strong culinary team, including hands on in the kitchen and on the line
  • Collaborate with and support the Executive Chef
  • Proper ordering and inventory
  • Ensuring best practices for safety and sanitation in the kitchen
  • Keeping track of new trends in the industry, especially within the healthy lifestyle space

Sous Preferred Requirements:

  • 2+ years of experience in a similar position (Sous Chef, Kitchen Manager, Kitchen Supervisor, Junior Sous)
  • Highly motivated, passionate, and have a strong sense of humility
  • Exceptional standards for cleanliness, health, and safety
  • Flexible schedule, including weekends, and on holidays

Compensation includes:

  • Base salary
  • 10 days PTO
  • Parking
  • Group medical with coverage for individual (and can add family at cost)
