Respected LA Chef is opening a new restaurant in Hollywood! The menu will feature an ingredient driven California cuisine with Japanese nuances. Looking for two (2) passionate Sous Chefs to come on board for a December opening. No tasting menus, but rather an accessible modern fine dining vibe. 65k-75k base salary + benefits!

Sous Chef Responsibilities:

  • Maintaining proper ordering and inventory
  • Follow direction of Executive Chef and Chef de Cuisine
  • Day to day management of kitchen and team
  • Ensuring that all food meets the highest standards of quality and consistency
  • Ensuring best practices for safety and sanitation in the kitchen

Sous Chef Requirements & Preferences:

  • Past experience as Sous Chef, Kitchen Supervisor, Junior Sous Chef or Kitchen Manager in a top tier kitchen
  • Previous experience in a scratch kitchen
  • Prior cuisine exposure to California Cuisine, Modern American, or Japanese Cuisine
  • Excellent communication skills and leadership qualities
  • Past opening experience a plus!!
  • Knowledge of general administrative functions such as ordering, inventory
  • Flexible schedule, including weekends, and on holidays
