One of the most popular and highly acclaimed restaurants in Los Angeles is looking for a Sous Chef. This chef-owned restaurant features New American Cuisine utilizing only the best and freshest ingredients. This is a very large and high volume location with multiple event spaces. The service style is upscale, but not overly formal or intimidating with dinner service and lunch to be added at a later date. Having been closed during the last year, the restaurant will be reopening soon. This is a truly exciting relaunch of a special restaurant and gem of Los Angeles.

Sous Chef Responsibilities:

  • Collaborate with Executive Chef on menu items
  • Produce food to the highest caliber
  • Oversee and supervise kitchen staff
  • Assist with menu planning, inventory, and management 
  • Ensure that food is top quality and that kitchen is in good condition
  • Keeps stations clean and complies with food safety standards
  • Scheduling, training, and ordering
  • Monitor and maintains kitchen equipment.

Sous Chef Qualifications:

  • 1-2+ years working in a supervisor or culinary manager role (sous chef, KM, assistant kitchen manager, junior Sous chef)
  • Experience managing and leading a team
  • Passion for culinary and teaching others
  • Knowledge of ordering and inventory systems
  • Some background in independent, chef driven environments
  • Strong attention to detail
  • Desire and willingness to learn
  • High standards of safety, cleanliness and sanitation
