Salary: $75000 – $85000
Progressive, fine dining steakhouse is adding a Sous Chef to the team! Part of a respected independent restaurant group with a commitment scratch cooking and luxe experiences.
Sous Chef Responsibilities:
- Provide exemplary leadership to the team
- Proactively managing costs and budgets
- Ensuring that all food meets the highest standards of quality and consistency
- Maintaining proper ordering, inventory and scheduling
- Ensuring best practices for safety and sanitation in the kitchen
Sous Chef Preferred Requirements:
- Past experience as a Chef de Cuisine, Senior Sous Chef, or similar role
- Extensive exposure to working with steaks and grill temperatures, past steakhouse isn’t required as much as actually having worked with chops
- Ability to thrive in a high-pressure environment
- Previous experience in an all scratch kitchen
- Exceptional standards for cleanliness, health, and safety
- Flexible schedule, including weekends, and on holidays
