Restaurant Manager – Iconic Restaurant with Notable Chef! Venice CA
Salary: $60000 – $65000
Very successful and busy restaurant and bar is looking for a talented manager to join its growing team! Need someone who has a great eye for detail, with a truly hospitable demeanor, and the ability to anticipate guest needs. This environment is very fast paced and requires someone who can think on his/her feet and adapt easily to the dynamic needs of a multi-faceted business.
Manager Responsibilities:
- Oversight of the hourly team members and daily operations
- Maintain, support and promote company culture and philosophies
- Contribute to controlling costs and maximizing efficiencies
- Maintain health, safety and sanitation standards
- Provide an excellent guest experience and resolve all guest issues in a timely manner
- Hold the team accountable to high standards while remaining hands on and leading by example
- Ensure the team is well educated on the menu items
- Hire, train, motivate and coach team members
- Assess employee performance and providing helpful feedback and training opportunities
- Understand and comply with all CA labor laws
Required Qualifications:
- Minimum 1-2 years in a restaurant management or supervisory role
- Polished and professional
- Strong leadership skills
- Personality exudes hospitality
- Experience working in a high volume setting
- Able to maintain composure in high pressure settings
- High level of organizational skills
- Enjoys leading and developing the team
- Driven and passionate about the food and beverage world
- Excellent communication skills both written and verbal
- Drive and hold team members accountable
- Computer proficiency, including the use of Microsoft office
- Flexible schedule, including weekends, and on holidays
- Food safety certification
