Female-owned, upscale-casual, modern Italian restaurant is seeking a hardworking and hands-on Junior Sous Chef to join the team. Located on the Westside with a California farm-to-table approach, they support nearby farms and producers by using ingredients that don’t travel far! 

Junior Sous Chef Responsibilities:

  • Ensuring that all food meets the highest standards of quality and consistency
  • Leading and mentoring a strong culinary team, including hands on in the kitchen and on the line
  • Collaborate with and support the culinary management team (Executive Chef)
  • Proper ordering and inventory
  • Ensuring best practices for safety and sanitation in the kitchen
  • Keeping track of new trends in the industry, especially within the healthy lifestyle space

Junior Sous Chef Preferred Requirements:

  • 2+ years of experience in a similar position (Assistant Kitchen Manager, Chef de Partie, Kitchen Supervisor, Junior Sous)
  • Love for unique, quality, locally sourced ingredients
  • Excellent communication skills and leadership qualities
  • Ability to thrive in a high-pressure environment
  • Highly motivated, passionate, and have a strong sense of humility
  • Exceptional standards for cleanliness, health, and safety
  • Flexible schedule, including weekends, and on holidays
