Michelin Starred Restaurant Group is seeking a Jr. Sous Chef for one of their concepts. The restaurant serves delicious, comfort style but high-end cuisine in a unique and fun setting. An awesome culture and a fabulous opportunity to join an incredibly successful group. 

Junior Sous Chef Responsibilities:

  • Ensuring that all food meets the highest standards of quality and consistency
  • Leading and mentoring a strong culinary team, including hands on in the kitchen and on the line
  • Collaborate with and support the culinary management team (Executive Chef, CDC, hourly employees)
  • Proper ordering and inventory
  • Ensuring best practices for safety and sanitation in the kitchen
  • Keeping track of new trends in the industry
  • Creating thoughtful food that fits the aesthetic of the concept

Junior Sous Chef Preferred Requirements:

  • 2 years of experience in a supervisor role like Kitchen Supervisor, Lead Line Cook, Assistant Kitchen Manager, Chef de Partie
  • Love for unique, quality, locally sourced ingredients
  • Excellent communication skills and leadership qualities
  • Ability to thrive in a high-pressure environment
  • Highly motivated, passionate, and have a strong sense of humility
  • Exceptional standards for cleanliness, health, and safety
  • Flexible schedule, including weekends, and on holidays
