Executive Sous Chef / Sous Chef Responsibilities:
- Support leadership in leading culinary operations
- Ensure all food meets the highest standards of quality and consistency
- Train, mentor and develop a strong team providing exemplary leadership
- Administrative duties to include: scheduling, ordering, receiving, quality control, and inventory of all kitchen items
- Proactively manage costs and budgets
- Maintain a positive work environment through effective, professional communication with other employees and managers
- Follow best practices for safety and sanitation in the kitchen
Executive Sous Chef / Sous Chef Preferred Requirements:
- Exec Sous Chef: 2+ years of experience as a Chef de Cuisine, Exec Sous Chef, or Sr. Sous Chef
- Sous Chef: 2+ years of experience as a Sous Chef, Kitchen Manager, Kitchen Supervisor, Jr. Sous or similar role
- A strong pedigree background in respected and acclaimed Italian restaurants
- Passion for unique, quality, hyper-seasonal seafood, fish and produce
- Excellent communication and leadership skills and the ability to genuinely motivate others
- Exceptional standards for cleanliness, health, and safety
- Flexible schedule, including weekends, and on holidays
Compensation / Benefits:
- Base salary in the $75k-$90k range
