Salary: $105000 – $120000
Pan-Asian successful restaurant is looking for a motivated chef to lead the culinary team. Seeking a passionate, experienced individual with strong leadership skills excited to propel the restaurant forward and galvanize their team to perform at their best. A collaborative nature and a drive to excel in a high-volume environment are essential.
Executive Chef Responsibilities:
- Collaborate closely with ownership on seasonal menu updates
- Ensure all food meets the highest standards of quality and consistency
- Train, develop and mentor the culinary team to grow to their highest potential
- Foster a positive, professional environment with care, dignity, fairness, respect, and recognition amongst the team
- Manage and lead the team in cost controls
- Maintain proper ordering and inventory
- Follow best practices and uphold high standards for safety and sanitation in the kitchen
Executive Chef Preferred Requirements:
- 3+ years of experience in a similar position (Executive Chef or Chef de Cuisine) leading an ingredient-driven high-volume kitchen
- Background in chef-driven, respected Cal-Asian, Pan-Asian and/or Japanese restaurants
- Passion for working with seasonal, fresh ingredients and keeping track of new trends in the industry
- Excellent communication skills and leadership qualities: team focused, and people driven
- Lead-by-example mentality with the ability to motivate others
- Exceptional standards for cleanliness, health, and safety
- Expert knowledge in P&Ls with extensive experience in managing inventory and cost controls
- Flexible schedule, including weekends, and on holidays
