Craig’s, the beloved Los Angeles institution, is coming to the heart of Nashville!
After two decades in the restaurant industry, Craig Susser opened Craig’s in West Hollywood in 2011, inspired by the charm and hospitality of classic New York restaurants. Since then, the restaurant has become a fixture in the LA dining scene, known for its warm, welcoming atmosphere, gracious service, and crowd-pleasing menu.
Together with longtime Executive Chef Kursten Kizer, Craig has created a menu rooted in American comfort food, elevated with French, Italian, and Latin influences. While many dishes have become iconic staples, the menu continues to evolve with the seasons and offers inclusive options for vegan and vegetarian diners. Now, this celebrated neighborhood restaurant is bringing its signature experience to Nashville’s Gulch neighborhood…and we’re hiring!
Craig’s is seeking a talented Executive Chef to lead the culinary team at its highly anticipated Nashville opening and carry forward the success of this beloved institution. With a brand-new kitchen buildout and an anticipated Q4 launch, the team is looking to onboard in July, with 3–4 weeks of training required in Los Angeles. This is an incredible opportunity for a hands-on, hospitality-first chef who thrives on execution, consistency, and team leadership.
The core menu is well established, but there’s room to shine creatively through specials, seasonal items, and evolving signature dishes. A well-rounded background in diverse cuisines and techniques including handmade pastas, scratch pizza dough, vegan and vegetarian dishes is highly valued. Local relationships in Nashville are a plus, and a strong mentorship mindset is essential. This is a unique opportunity to be part of something special from the ground up. Compensation includes base salary in the $100-110k range, medical benefits, PTO plan, 401k+matching, parking, and relocation assistance.
