Stunning, chic property in Napa is looking for an experienced and versatile Assistant Food & Beverage Director to join the team and help oversee all food & beverage operations including restaurant outlets and events/banquets. This is a multifaceted role that requires a true team player who is willing to jump in wherever needed to ensure streamlined operations and superior guest service. The Assistant F&B Director will be in charge of scheduling, ordering, inventory, hiring, training, SOPs for positions, and remaining very hands on with the team in all processes. The ideal candidate comes from a background in respected, high-end restaurants or hotels, preferably with some prior Michelin, James Beard, or Forbes 4 or 5-star experience. Strong tenure in past roles is also very important, as is a polished, guest facing personality and true passion for hospitality. Great opportunity to join an esteemed, dynamic property and team!

Assistant F&B Director Responsibilities:

  • Maintain positive and cooperative relationships with all vendors and business partners
  • Lead and direct the work of the management team including scheduling, assigning responsibilities, and setting expectations
  • Hire and train managers and supervisors
  • Creating a positive team dynamic and culture that exists in a fun working environment
  • Develop a positive relationship with guests
  • Anticipate the needs of the outlets and act accordingly and in a timely manner
  • Oversee and positively impact all areas of the business including: sales, costs, employee retention, guest service and satisfaction, food quality, cleanliness and sanitation.
  • Ensure quality and consistency of all products served with high standards
  • Ensure all equipment is kept clean and in excellent working condition
  • Foster opportunities for the team to learn and grow
  • Continually strive to educate and develop of staff as it relates to food, beverage, and service
  • Taking ownership of the business to increase sales and profitability
  • Increasing brand awareness by creating marketing plans
  • Set an example to the team by providing excellent hospitality and service at all times
  • Be knowledgeable of restaurant policies regarding personnel and deliver prompt, fair and consistent corrective action for any and all violations of company policies, rules and procedures.
  • Fully understand and comply with all federal, state, county and municipal regulations that pertain to health, safety and labor requirements

Candidate Qualifications:

  • 4+ years’ experience as Restaurant General Manager (GM), Food & Beverage Director (F&B), FOH General Manager, FOH Department Manager, Outlets Director, Assistant F&B Director, or comparable restaurant/food & beverage management role in a full service, upscale or fine dining restaurant or boutique/luxury hotel is required
  • High service pedigree is highly preferred, any experience in Michelin, Forbes, or James Beard recognized restaurants/hotels is ideal
  • Ability to multi-task and switch directions accordingly

Compensation Package Includes:
