Salary: $70000 – $75000
Independent LA group with a focus on local artisanal ingredients is seeking a Sous Chef for their approachable yet elevated Middle Eastern concept opening Summer 2025. Sous Chef Responsibilities:
- Ensure that all food and products are consistently prepared and served according to the recipes, portioning, cooking and serving standards of the company
- Administrative duties to include: ordering, receiving, quality control, and inventory of all kitchen items
- Maintain and manage all policies, procedures, standards, specifications, guidelines and training programs.
- Create a positive work environment that promotes teamwork, performance feedback, recognition, mutual respect and employee satisfaction
- Ensure the kitchen is clean, sanitized, and organized at all times, adhering to established food safety guidelines
Sous Chef Requirements:
- 2+ years of experience as a Sous Chef, Kitchen Supervisor, Junior Sous Chef or Kitchen Manager in a respected kitchen or operation
- English/Spanish proficiency or strong Kitchen Spanish a big plus
- Excitement for delivering ingredient-driven high-quality food to the guest
- Proven experience managing with structured systems and SOP’s
- Excellent communication and leadership skills and the ability to genuinely motivate others
- Flexible schedule to include mornings, nights, weekends, and holidays
Compensation includes:
- Base salary in the $70-$75k range
