Executive Chef Responsibilities:
- Create dishes in collaboration with leadership using only the highest quality ingredients
- Ensure all food meets top standards of quality and consistency
- Communicate with vendors regarding ordering, new product offerings, pricing, and all other product-related issues
- Lead and mentor the team with a focus on developing a positive work environment through professional communication
- Staff Management to include scheduling, hiring and training
- Proper ordering and inventory, proactively monitoring costs and budgets
- Best practices for safety and sanitation in the kitchen
Executive Chef Preferred Requirements:
- 3+ years of experience in a similar position (Chef de Cuisine, CDC, Exec Chef)
- Experience in managing a high-volume business
- Passion for working with seasonal, fresh ingredients and keeping track of new trends in the industry
- Highly effective communication skills and leadership qualities with a desire to cultivate a positive, healthy work environment
- Expert knowledge of cost controls as it relates to kitchen payroll and the forecasting/budgeting of expenses
- Extremely organized, detail oriented, creative and motivated
- Flexible schedule, including early mornings, nights, weekends, and on holidays
