Senior Operations Manager – Acclaimed Cookie Company Los Angeles CA
Salary: $70000 – $90000
California local, family-oriented cookie business is seeking a Senior Operations Manager to oversee their operations and upcoming growth. The team is looking for a resourceful, intelligent, kind candidate who thrives in a highly collaborative environment. This role will be primarily focused on physical operations, with an emphasis on quality control, streamlining procedural efficiencies, and growth & development. Any knowledge of baking or prior experience with kitchen systems is a huge plus! They are looking for a true hands-on leader who isn’t just overseeing, but assessing and implementing new SOPs & technologies to make operations more efficient and spearhead the growth of the company. There is ample opportunity for this person to grow into a high-level role with the company overtime with a proven track record of success!
Responsibilities Include:
- Work as a resource for all staff, vendors, customers, and partners in the group. Nurture those relationships and help support ownership’s vision
- Create and improve upon standard operating procedures and training manuals
- Prepare reports by collecting, analyzing, and summarizing data and trends
- Train and hire all staff
- Work in close collaboration with ownership on baking schedules
- Problem-solve and work on site with existing location
- Work to fix issues and train management staff to continue improvements
- Work to standardize any manuals or forms that can better help streamline operations through new openings
- Provide structures, support, and training for existing location
- Work to standardize any manuals or forms that can better help streamline operations through the restaurants
- Help source, implement, refine, and streamline company systems (such as POS, Payroll, On-boarding, Catering, Reservations).
- Building the business by creating marketing and social media plans
- Supporting and overseeing future openings and business development
- Help oversee company website and recommend changes and improvements
- Develop and manage nation-wide shipping orders and procedures with a continuous eye for innovation
Candidate Requirements:
- 3-5+ years’ experience as a Senior Operations Manager, Regional or Area Manager, Director of Operations/Hospitality, Multi-Unit Manager/GM, or Operating Partner in a restaurant and/or bar setting, fast-casual bakery/café setting, or comparable hospitality concept(s)
- Knowledge of baking and kitchen systems is highly preferred
- Multi-Unit and new restaurant opening experience preferred
- Extremely detail oriented and highly organized
- Tech and Social Media savvy
- Strategic background with a passion for hospitality and the ability to oversee multiple operations and new openings
- Big picture thinker with a knack for organizational efficiency
- Passion for great people and great product
- Impeccable leadership and training skills with the ability to command respect of the team and ownership
- Lead by example approach and entrepreneurial mindset
- Must have reliable personal transportation, a valid driver’s license, and proof of insurance
- Must be able to work flexible hours necessary to manage and operate the restaurant effectively
- Requires long stretches of standing, occasional carrying, pushing, or pulling of items up to 50 lbs in weight
Compensation Package Includes:
- Base Salary in the $70-90k range DOE
