Kitchen Manager Responsibilities:
- Ensure food production within the facility is on time and meets established standards of the company
- Oversee vendor relationships, purchasing, logistics, and inventory
- Pricing for proper cost management of the transfer of products to restaurants
- Oversee staff, including production scheduling, hiring, training, leading and developing the team
- Maintain a positive work environment through effective, professional communication with other employees and managers
- Maintain safety & sanitation of commissary kitchen
Kitchen Manager Requirements:
- 3-4 years’ prior experience in a management role of a large-scale high-volume production facility or commissary kitchen (i.e. Commissary Chef, Production Chef, Catering Commissary Chef)
- Experience in vendor relations, purchasing, and logistics
- Detail orientation with a focus on food quality, food safety and sanitation
- Organized approach to ensure efficient, accurate, and timely productivity
- Competence with systems, computer programs and the ability to problem solve and course correct as needed
- Flexible schedule: mornings, nights, weekends, holidays
Compensation Includes:
- Base salary in the $80-90k range
