Modern steakhouse  on the westside is looking for a passionate Sous Chef to lead by example and inspire their team. Ideal candidates should champion healthy kitchen environments, great customer service and value a menu focused on chef driven scratch-cooking with quality ingredients. Sous Chef Responsibilities:

  • Ensure that all food and products are consistently prepared and served according to the recipes, portioning, cooking and serving standards of the company.
  • Proper ordering, receiving, and inventory
  • Support the culinary management team
  • Leading, mentoring and coaching a strong team, including hands on in the kitchen
  • Maintain a positive, work environment via effective, professional communication with other employees and managers 
  • Follow best practices for safety and sanitation in the kitchen to assure compliance with local health department and company standard.

 

Sous Chef Requirements:

  • 2 years’ experience as a Sous Chef, Junior Sous Chef or Kitchen Manager
  • Comfortable cooking with various proteins and grill temperatures
  • Previous experience in an all-scratch kitchen
  • Excellent communication skills and leadership qualities
  • Ability to thrive and lead a team in a high-pressure environment
  • Exceptional standards for cleanliness, health, and safety
  • Flexible schedule including nights, weekends, and holidays

 

Compensation includes:

  • Base salary in the $72,500-$77,500 range
