Executive Sous Chef – Fine Dining Los Angeles CA
Salary: $90000 – $100000
Progressive, fine dining California-steakhouse is looking for an Executive Sous Chef to support the team! Part of a respected independent restaurant group with a commitment to scratch cooking and stellar experiences. Routinely high-volume services call for an Executive Sous Chef with strong organizational skills, attention to detail and the ability to execute well under pressure. Looking for an individual from a respected restaurant background (ingredient-driven kitchens only!).
Executive Sous Chef Responsibilities:
- Provide exemplary leadership to the team while collaborating closely with Executive Chef
- Proactively managing costs and budgets
- Ensuring that all food meets the highest standards of quality and consistency
- Maintaining proper ordering, inventory and scheduling
- Ensuring best practices for safety and sanitation in the kitchen
Executive Sous Chef Preferred Requirements:
- 3 years past experience as a Sous Chef in a respected restaurant with progressive responsibilities or 1 year as Exec Sous, Senior Sous Chef, or Chef de Cuisine
- Passion for the culinary industry and love of scratch cooking and quality execution
- Track record in chef-driven restaurants
- Strong longevity in past roles
- High level of organization and attention to detail
- Previous experience in a fine dining, high volume environment
- Exceptional standards for cleanliness, health, and safety
- Flexible schedule, including weekends, and on holidays
Compensation / Benefits:
