Longstanding restaurant group with a large bakery element is looking for a hands-on Kitchen Manager for their North Hollywood area location. With consistently high-volume business, the restaurant requires a proactive leader who can motivate the team to reliably deliver the high-quality food and product its loyal following expects. KM Responsibilities:
- Ensuring that all food meets the highest standards of quality and consistency
- Experience managing a consistently high-volume business with high-quality ingredients
- Maintaining proper ordering, quality control, inventory and scheduling
- Proactively managing costs and budgets to meet established goals
- Effectively lead, mentor and coach the team
- Create a positive work environment that promotes teamwork, performance feedback, recognition, mutual respect, and employee satisfaction
- Follow best practices for safety and sanitation in the kitchen
KM Requirements:
- 3 years of experience as Exec Chef, Chef de Cuisine, Kitchen Manager, or Head Chef
- Proficiency in Spanish a plus!
- Passion for delivering top-quality ingredient-driven food with consistency in a high-volume environment and motivating the team to do the same
- Team mentality and ability to collaborate
- Professional communication skills and the ability to genuinely motivate others
- Familiar with P&L review, food cost and labor budgetary controls, and strict inventory
- Flexible schedule to include mornings, nights, weekends and holidays
Compensation / Benefits:
- $25.50-33.50 per hour with a typically 50-hour work week with bonus that comes out to $90-$100k total compensation
