Bar Manager – Posh Italian Concept Los Angeles CA
Salary: $85000 – $90000
Highly sought after Italian hotspot is seeking a creative, experienced Bar Manager to join their team. This role will be responsible for overseeing the entire cocktail program and all bar operations, including but not limited to: seasonal cocktail creation, maintaining program standards, managing/training the bar team, ordering/inventory, and having a presence on the floor during service. Candidates should have a strong mixology background in order to make fresh, seasonal updates to the cocktail menu quarterly, while maintaining elevated classic offerings in line with the restaurant’s vision. Someone who can establish a positive rapport with guests, while creating a professional, energetic approach to the bar and beverage program is ideal. Bar Manager Responsibilities:
- Research and develop a fresh, creative, and inspired beverage program in line with the overall vision of the business
- Curate seasonal cocktail menu changes quarterly
- Receive, stock, and inventory liquor
- Ongoing development and training of team members to ensure growth, knowledge, and professionalism
- Cost Management
- Maintain, support and promote company culture
- Take initiative and help to build business and bar program
- Provide an excellent guest experience and resolve all guest issues
- Hold the team accountable to high standards while remaining hands on and leading by example
- Willingness to be present on the floor during service as required
- Ensure consistency and cleanliness of bar and bar program
- Develop programs/methods to increase efficiency of bar operations
- Resolving customer complaints and attending to all customer correspondence
- Knowledge of Food & Beverage pairings
- Understand and comply with CA labor laws
Candidate Qualifications:
- 3+ years’ experience working as a Bar Manager, Beverage Manager, Bar Lead, Mixologist, F&B Manager, or F&B Supervisor; or 5+ years management experience (preferably beverage focused) in an upscale or fine dining restaurant concept
- Any chef-driven or acclaimed restaurant experience a big plus
- Proven track record of leading a professional, efficient, high quality, service-oriented operation
- Strong experience in craft cocktail culture
- Creative and natural approach to flavors
- A sophisticated communicator with high standards of performance, problem solving and listening skills
- Passionate about the Hospitality Industry and Guest Relations
- Ability to work effectively under time constraints and deadlines
- Ability to create strong relationships with guests, members, and staff
- Working knowledge of bar operations and core standards, policies, and standard operating procedures
- Knowledge of Food & Beverage service, spirits & cocktails, creating and developing, cost control, labor control, maintenance, merchandising & accounting
- Wine knowledge a bonus, but not required
- Flexible schedule including weekends, nights, and holidays as needed
