Director of Retail and Sales – Luxury Consumer Brand Los Angeles CA
Salary: $75000 – $90000
High-end luxury confection brand is seeking a talented Director of Retail and Sales to join their team! This is a multifaceted role that will be responsible for overseeing both retail store operations and acting as a brand ambassador to drive corporate sales and generate new business. The ideal candidate has a proven background in hospitality and an understanding of the intricacies of working with luxury, high-end goods/brands and VIP clientele. Impeccable time management is critical for this role in order to balance retail oversight/staff management with client services and building/maintaining relationships with new and existing corporate accounts. Someone who is passionate about luxury products and delivering unforgettable experiences through unparalleled service and hospitality is key! This is an onsite role, and this person will split their time between the retail store in West Los Angeles and the company office. Candidates should also be open to travel as needed.
RESPONSIBILITIES INCLUDE:
- Building relationships with key on-site and corporate customers
- Serve as primary contact for brand expertise/training to individual consumers and corporate/VIP clientele
- Overseeing storefront operations including but not limited to: managing, hiring, and training staff; implementing SOPs to improve operational efficiency; developing positive relationships with team members to ensure employee retention; guest service and satisfaction; and ensuring consistency of product quality/presentation and storefront cleanliness/sanitation
- Develop and implement strategies for driving sales and building a book of business
- Act as a brand ambassador for the product to increase sales and repeat business for walk-in and corporate customers
- Generate leads to acquire new corporate business
- Create and host special events and tastings to foster and maintain client relationships and drive brand loyalty
- Attending sales pitches and events with ownership to build the brand
- Handling high-level customer service scenarios
- Continuously thinking outside the box to formulate new strategies to generate retail traffic and corporate sales
- Manage influencers, stakeholders, and corporate accounts with consistent communication to keep valuable relationships
- Perform quality work within deadlines and keep detailed reports of accounts and clientele
CANDIDATE QUALIFICATIONS:
- 2-4+ years of relevant client-facing sales and brand management experience; e.g. Store/Retail Manager or Director, Business Development Manager, Account Manager, Sales Manager/Director, or comparable client services role with a luxury goods/hospitality company, high-end/designer brand, or customer-focused brand
- Experience in the hospitality industry and luxury environments
- Impeccable time management skills in order to balance storefront/retail oversight and liaising with corporate/VIP clientele
- Adept at networking, selling, and interacting with diverse groups of people
- Proven track record of sales performance along with marketing/prospecting programs that drive new business
- Proven ability in leadership, communication, and negotiating skills
- Highly polished and outgoing personality
- Requires excellent verbal and written communication and interpersonal skills, astute organizational skills, professionalism, flexibility, etc.
- Ability to develop and maintain effective working relationships with individuals across all levels of the organization
- Strong business acumen and experience using online platforms such as Google Docs, Sheets, Slack
- Understands how to get things done by leveraging opportunities against multiple resources
- Willingness to work a flexible schedule as needed including weekends, evenings and holidays
- Must be willing to live in Los Angeles and able to work onsite at storefront and in office
- Must have a valid Driver’s License and be able to drive/travel through the designated market area as needed
COMPENSATION PACKAGE INCLUDES:
- Base Salary in the $75-90k range DOE + Commission Structure
