Acclaimed luxurious hotel is seeking a talented Chef de Cuisine to oversee its dinner-only California Coastal Cuisine concept, as well as the lounge and pool menus. Amazing opportunity with ample creative freedom over the menu as the restaurant operates primarily independently from the hotel. Looking for innovative chef-driven individuals inspired by a bounty of local seafood and farm-fresh ingredients!
Chef de Cuisine Responsibilities:
- Menu development and recipe costing
- Collaborate with management to create an inspired California Coastal cuisine menu
- Keep track of new trends in the industry
- Ensure that all food meets the highest standards of quality and consistency
- Maintain proper ordering and inventory
- Ensure best practices for safety and sanitation in the kitchen
Chef de Cuisine Preferred Requirements:
- 3+ years of senior culinary leadership experience as an Executive Chef, Chef de Cuisine, or Senior Sous Chef
- Prior upscale dining and hotel experience
- Excellent communication skills and leadership qualities
- Creative, innovative thinking
- Exceptional standards for cleanliness, health, and safety
- Experience in managing inventory and cost controls
- Flexible schedule, including nights, weekends, and holidays
