High-volume seafood centric restaurant is looking for a Chef de Cuisine to join their scratch, seasonal kitchen. Looking for a team leader passionate about all types of seafood who loves creating both high-end offerings as well as fun, approachable dishes, while appreciating popular mainstays. Great opportunity for a chef who is collaborative in nature and works well with a strong Executive Chef. 

 

Chef de Cuisine Responsibilities:

  • Menu development in collaboration with the Executive Chef, keeping an eye on new trends in the industry
  • Creating high-quality dishes that fit the concept’s aesthetic  
  • Ensuring that all food meets the highest standards of quality and consistency
  • Hiring, training, and mentoring of culinary team members
  • Maintaining proper inventory and ordering, monitoring vendor pricing and new products
  • Ensuring best practices for safety and sanitation in the kitchen

 

Chef de Cuisine Preferred Requirements:

  • 3+ years of experience in a similar position (CDC, Executive Sous Chef, or Senior Sous Chef) or 1 year as an Executive Chef
  • Excellent communication skills and team-building leadership qualities
  • Collaborative on creative development
  • Experience in managing inventory and cost controls
  • Exceptional standards for cleanliness, health, and safety
  • Flexible schedule, including nights, weekends, and on holidays

 

Compensation and Benefits Include:

  • Base salary in the $90-100k range
