Salary: $90000 – $100000
High-volume seafood centric restaurant is looking for a Chef de Cuisine to join their scratch, seasonal kitchen. Looking for a team leader passionate about all types of seafood who loves creating both high-end offerings as well as fun, approachable dishes, while appreciating popular mainstays. Great opportunity for a chef who is collaborative in nature and works well with a strong Executive Chef.
Chef de Cuisine Responsibilities:
- Menu development in collaboration with the Executive Chef, keeping an eye on new trends in the industry
- Creating high-quality dishes that fit the concept’s aesthetic
- Ensuring that all food meets the highest standards of quality and consistency
- Hiring, training, and mentoring of culinary team members
- Maintaining proper inventory and ordering, monitoring vendor pricing and new products
- Ensuring best practices for safety and sanitation in the kitchen
Chef de Cuisine Preferred Requirements:
- 3+ years of experience in a similar position (CDC, Executive Sous Chef, or Senior Sous Chef) or 1 year as an Executive Chef
- Excellent communication skills and team-building leadership qualities
- Collaborative on creative development
- Experience in managing inventory and cost controls
- Exceptional standards for cleanliness, health, and safety
- Flexible schedule, including nights, weekends, and on holidays
Compensation and Benefits Include:
- Base salary in the $90-100k range
