Salary: $85000 – $90000
Successful restaurant group is seeking an operations-driven Executive Chef to lead their culinary team. This chef should enjoy creating and implementing structure in the kitchen while leading and mentoring a strong team. Established experience in cost controls, systems and standard operating procedures is highly valued.
Executive Chef Responsibilities:
- Ensure that all food meets the highest standards of quality and consistency
- Proactively manage costs and budgets
- Maintain proper ordering and inventory
- Communicate with vendors regarding new product offerings, pricing, and all other product-related issues
- Staff Management including scheduling, hiring, mentoring, and training
- Foster a positive, motivating work environment via effective, professional communication
- Follow best practices for safety and sanitation in the kitchen
Executive Chef Preferred Requirements:
- 3+ years of experience in a similar position (Head Chef, Chef de Cuisine, or Exec Chef)
- Experience with Toast and R365 is ideal
- Previous steakhouse experience preferred
- Expert knowledge and fully fluent in P&L, managing inventory, and cost controls
- Excellent communication skills and leadership qualities
- Exceptional standards for cleanliness, health, and safety
- Flexible schedule, including weekends, and on holidays
Compensation / Benefits:
- Base Salary: $85-90k + bonus
