Westside Steakhouse mainstay is seeking a dedicated, enthusiastic Restaurant & Bar Manager to help lead the team. Someone with experience training & developing bar staff, who knows how to interact and engage with guests both in the bar area and on the floor during service. This role will be a mix of bartending/overseeing the bar and being on the floor, while providing ongoing education and development for the staff. Looking for a candidate that can be an integral addition to the quality of product, service, and ambiance. Strong cocktail/spirits knowledge is required, and a background in fine dining highly ideal. Restaurant/Bar Manager Responsibilities:

  • Oversee the FOH and Bar teams
  • Willingness to work behind the bar and be present on the floor as required
  • Ongoing development and training of team members to ensure growth, knowledge, and professionalism
  • Ensure consistency and cleanliness of bar and bar program
  • Order, receive, stock, and inventory liquor, beer, and wine
  • Develop programs/methods to increase efficiency of bar operations
  • Maintain, support and promote company culture
  • Take initiative and help to build business
  • Contribute to controlling costs and maximizing efficiencies
  • Maintain health, safety and sanitation standards
  • Ordering, inventory and scheduling
  • Provide an excellent guest experience and resolve all guest issues
  • Hold the team accountable to high standards while remaining hands on and leading by example
  • Ensure the team is well educated on the menu and bar/beverage items
  • Hire, train, motivate and coach team members
  • Oversee quality of food and beverage
  • Assess employee performance and providing helpful feedback and training opportunities
  • Understand and comply with CA labor laws

Restaurant/Bar Manager Requirements:

  • Minimum 1-2 years as a Restaurant Manager, Floor Manager, Service Manager, Dining Room Manager, FOH Manager, Bar Manager, Beverage Manager, Bar Lead, or comparable hospitality management role in an upscale or fine dining restaurant concept
  • Strong experience in craft cocktail culture
  • Creative and natural approach to flavors
  • A sophisticated communicator with high standards of performance, problem solving and listening skills
  • Ability to create strong relationships with guests, members, and staff
  • Working knowledge of bar operations and core standards, policies, and standard operating procedures
  • Knowledge of Food & Beverage service, spirits & cocktails, creating and developing, cost control, labor control, and maintenance
  • Must be high energy with a positive attitude
  • Basic understanding of administrative functions 
  • High attention to detail
  • Strong interpersonal, leadership, coaching, and conflict resolution skills
  • Ability to prioritize and manage time effectively
  • Ability to analyze processes and information, identify problems and trends, and develop effective solutions and strategies
  • Commitment to providing exceptional service to guests and support to staff members

  • Base Salary in the $72-77k+ range DOE
