Va de Vi translates to “It’s all about wine!” in Spain’s Catalan language. Of course, it’s all about food, too!”

Since opening their doors in 2004, Va de Vi has been bringing diners to the East Bay to enjoy an eclectic global small plates menu paired with an extensive and impressive wine list. Favored not only by guests, they met local acclaim upon opening with landing on The Bay Area’s Top 10 New Restaurants and notable Michael Bauer three star review. Va de Vi maintains this legacy with a #1 standing in the community on TripAdvisor, earning them 2021 Traveler’s Choice award.

Va de Vi is looking for a Sous Chef who is passionate, flexible, and excited to be working with an independent restaurant. The team is lead by Chef Dominique Shelton who worked in respected Los Angeles restaurants before making his way to the Bay Area. Staying with an international small plates concept, the menu is chef-driven with microseasonal changes. Ideal candidates should have a collaborative personality, managerial acumen, and contribute to the continuing success of the restaurant.

Compensation includes competitive base salary in the $70-$80k range, 20% bonus, health benefits, parking, and paid time off.
