Ultra luxury, private club in the Central Coast of California is seeking a talented Executive Chef. Chef. The menu is seasonally evolving with creative latitude within the concept of accessible club food. Clientele are leaders in their respective industries and chef candidates should feel comfortable speaking with high profile guests. There is a strong executive leadership team in place, and this is a NOT a member owned club. Strong benefits! 

The team is looking for a passionate leader who comes from a track record of similar high-end clubs and/or background of Forbes starred hotels and acclaimed restaurants. 

Responsibilities include:

  • Creating incredible food of the highest caliber
  • Overseeing the full scope of the kitchen on a day-to-day basis
  • Staff Management (scheduling, hiring, training)
  • Communicating in a positive and courteous manner with members
  • Proactively managing costs, budgets, and labor
  • Ensuring best practices for safety and sanitation in the kitchen

Executive Chef Preferred Requirements:

  • 1+ years of experience as an Executive Chef OR 3+ years as a Chef de Cuisine or Executive Sous Chef 
  • Food-driven country club or private member club experience a strong plus
  • Background in Forbes starred hotels and/or acclaimed concepts is highly preferred (James Beard or Michelin starred)
  • Passionate, creative and talented with a love for quality ingredients
  • A positive leader who is organized and tech savvy with great communication skills
  • Exceptional standards for cleanliness, health, and safety
  • Expert knowledge and fully fluent in P&L, managing inventory, and cost controls
  • Flexible schedule, including working night, weekends, and on holidays

Compensation includes:

  • Competitive base salary in the $100-130k range
