Growing artisan bread company is looking for a hands-on, adaptable pastry chef with viennoiserie experience to join the team. The bakery values fresh ingredients to ensure the highest quality goods! Pastry Chef Responsibilities:

  • Hands-on management of the pastry program and ensure top quality production of goods
  • Collaborate on menus, ideas, recipes with the owners and team keeping up with the current trends
  • Administrative duties to maintain an efficient workplace: place orders, invoicing, inventory, establish pars, production scheduling, team schedule, etc.
  • Oversee the team, including hiring, training, developing team members, and employee relations
  • Ensure the kitchen is clean and sanitized at all times

Pastry Chef Requirements:

  • 3+ years’ experience as Pastry Chef in a high-volume artisan-bread based business or similar role in a large-scale high-quality production environment
  • Proven viennoiserie experience
  • Extensive knowledge of baking ingredients and techniques
  • Creative and enjoys working ideas through as part of a team
  • Experience establishing employee schedules, production schedules, pars, etc.
  • Respect-driven leadership skills to maintain a positive, motivating work environment
  • Time management skills to deliver orders on schedule and minimize waste
  • Flexible schedule including early mornings, nights, weekends

Compensation package includes:

  • Base Salary in the range of $75-90k
  • Full Medical Coverage
  • PTO: 2 weeks
