New high end, dinner only, French concept with a strong steak program is debuting in San Diego! Looking for an enthusiastic, detail-oriented Chef de Cuisine that is excited to be a part of one of San Diego’s biggest upcoming openings from a growing independent group. This candidate will have the opportunity to learn and collaborate closely with strong and highly respected leadership. Looking for an empathetic leader who drives a healthy culture. 


Chef de Cuisine Responsibilities:

  • Closely collaborate with leadership on menu and daily operations
  • Proactively managing costs and budgets
  • High-level execution is critical
  • Proper ordering and inventory
  • Staff Management (scheduling, hiring, training)
  • Leading/mentoring the team and cultivating an atmosphere of mutual respect
  • Maintaining best practices for safety and sanitation in the kitchen


Chef de Cuisine Preferred Requirements:

  • 2+ years of experience as a Chef de Cuisine, Executive Sous Chef, or Sr. Sous Chef in a high volume ingredient driven restaurant (5 MIL+)
  • Elevated French cuisine experience required
  • French language skills a huge plus! 
  • New restaurant opening experience is a plus
  • Ability to take and give direction in a constructive manner
  • Precision and attention to detail
  • Exceptional standards for cleanliness, health, and safety
  • Knowledge of general administrative functions such as ordering, inventory, scheduling, and performance management
  • Flexible schedule, including weekends, and on holidays


Compensation / Benefits:

  • Base Salary: $85-95k
