Established successful restaurant group with a large bakery element is seeking a hands-on Kitchen Manager for their Orange County location. Consistently high-volume kitchen experience is a must! The ideal candidate is a proactive leader who enjoys working alongside their team and inspiring the highest quality standards. KM Responsibilities:

  • Ensure all food and products are consistently prepared and served according to the restaurant’s recipes, portioning, cooking and serving standards
  • Administrative duties to include: ordering, receiving, quality control and inventory of all kitchen items
  • Follow established protocols and standards for all equipment use, cleaning, and maintenance via personal inspection
  • Labor cost controls: scheduling staff as needed based on business trends to meet set goals
  • Monitor performance of staff and ensure all procedures are completed to restaurant standards
  • Proactively lead, mentor and coach the team
  • Create a positive work environment that promotes teamwork, performance feedback, recognition, mutual respect and employee satisfaction
  • Maintain cleanliness, sanitation and organization along with the safety of all work areas

KM Requirements:

  • 3 years of experience as Senior or Exec Sous Chef, Chef de Cuisine, or Kitchen Manager
  • Passion for excellent food quality and ensuring compliance with all health and safety procedures as well as safe food handling practices
  • Excitement for delivering ingredient-driven high-quality food
  • Collaborative mentality and enjoys a team environment
  • Excellent communication skills and the ability to genuinely motivate others
  • Experience in P&L review, food cost and labor budgetary controls, and strict inventory
  • Flexible schedule to include mornings, nights, weekends and holidays
  • English/Spanish bilingual is preferred

Compensation / Benefits:
