Rare and special ground-floor opportunity to join a unique, high-caliber new project! Notable Seattle-based company is looking for a VP of Experience to help them launch an exciting new multi-faceted project aimed at redefining and better utilizing vacant space in commercial office buildings to attract/retain tenants, reinvigorating local businesses in major city cores as a result. The VP of Experience will lead a high-energy, dynamic team in driving innovation, developing customer experience strategy, client & stakeholder engagement, project buildouts, and ongoing research & concept development.

Flexibility, versatility, and resiliency are extremely important to this role, and it is essential that this person have a high motivation score on addition to a strong project development background. The team is ideally looking for someone with development experience in the hotel space, with any exposure to design/construction or creative highly ideal. This is a pivotal role for the company and an incredible opportunity for a passionate, experienced, and forward-thinking leader to be an integral part of the project’s success!

RESPONSIBILITIES:

  • Develop and execute a comprehensive customer experience strategy in line with the company’s vision and values
  • Work in close collaboration with a diverse team of individuals to align business goals and solidify the company’s brand identity
  • Set clear goals and mentor team members for both corporate and the field
  • Deliver a clear and compelling picture of the organization when presenting the concept to developers, new clients, advisors, and other future company executives
  • Provide thought leadership and strategic consulting that will guide the company towards success
  • Spearhead all aspects of programming for various spaces – including but not limited to: amenity space activation, concierge services, retail partnerships, food & beverage, hosted meetings & events, and fitness/wellness
  • Act as the main company representative when engaging with clients, vendors, government entities and the general public
  • Responsible for all initial client ideation conversations and overseeing the remainder of the process from design to implementation
  • Continuously innovate and introduce new programs to enhance client satisfaction while seeking to improve the design and functionality of amenity spaces
  • Balance aesthetics, functionality, and technology integration when transforming spaces and curating services
  • Stay abreast of emerging trends in experience design
  • Remain at the forefront of hospitality, developing thoughtful programs that align with client and stakeholder needs
  • Monitor performance data to derive actionable insights and make improvements to product offerings based on customer feedback
  • Continuously strive to develop a brand that attracts and retains world class talent, fostering a culture that gives employees and clients alike a sense of belonging
  • Create a culture of learning to help enhance and grow the skills and abilities of team members¬†
  • Demonstrate exemplary leadership to a growing team of professionals in order to make the company’s mission a success
  • Represent the organization within the local community, the state, and at the national level as the company grows

CANDIDATE QUALIFICATIONS/REQUIREMENTS:

  • 10+ years’ experience working in the hospitality industry, with preferably 5+ years in Executive level positions
  • Hotel and/or Design experience is preferred, particularly as it pertains to new concept development, buildout, and/or operational implementation
  • Master’s degree in hospitality, business, design, or related field is a plus, but not required
  • Ability to travel 1-2 times a month towards the end of the first year for 1-2 days at a time, with flexibility for future increased travel as the company expands
  • Ability to relocate and be based in Seattle for the first year, with flexibility on candidate’s homebase thereafter
  • A true passion for hospitality and understanding of modern hospitality, along with the ever-changing landscape of guests needs and desires
  • A forward thinking thought process and desire to “break the rules” of traditional hospitality and guest experience
  • The ability to approach each day with an open mind
  • Flexible, versatile, and resilient in order to embrace ongoing change and various possibilities, opportunities, perspectives, suggestions and/or concerns

COMPENSATION INCLUDES:
