Exciting new concept from one of San Diego’s top restaurant groups is looking for a passionate General Manager to helm the opening and lead the team. The GM will be responsible for hiring, training, and developing the team in addition to supporting all restaurant operations/processes pre and post opening. The restaurant will feature elevated Middle Eastern-inspired cuisine at a prime location in a bustling SD neighborhood. Candidates must be ownership-minded with a passion for training, leadership, and creating a memorable experience for guests. Any high volume or prior opening experience highly preferred. This is an awesome opportunity for a high-energy hospitality professional to be integral to the success of a new concept with a highly respected, growing group!

General Manager Responsibilities:

  • Support with all pre-opening needs for the restaurant
  • Maintain positive and cooperative relationships with all vendors and business partners
  • Lead and direct the work of the management team including scheduling, assigning responsibilities, and setting expectations
  • Hire and train managers and supervisors
  • Creating a positive team dynamic and culture that exists in a fun working environment
  • Develop a positive relationship with guests
  • Anticipate the needs of the restaurant and act accordingly and in a timely manner
  • Oversee and positively impact all areas of the business including: sales, costs, employee retention, guest service and satisfaction, food quality, cleanliness and sanitation
  • Ensure quality and consistency of all products served with high standards
  • Ensure all equipment is kept clean and in excellent working condition
  • Foster opportunities for the team to learn and grow
  • Continually strive to educate and develop of staff as it relates to food, beverage, and service
  • Taking ownership of the business to increase sales and profitability
  • Increasing brand awareness by creating marketing plans
  • Set an example to the team by providing excellent hospitality and service at all times
  • Be knowledgeable of restaurant policies regarding personnel and deliver prompt, fair and consistent corrective action for any and all violations of company policies, rules and procedures
  • Fully understand and comply with all federal, state, county and municipal regulations that pertain to health, safety and labor requirements

General Manager Qualifications:

  • 5+ years experience as a Restaurant General Manager (GM), Multi-Unit General Manager, Food & Beverage (F&B) Director, FOH General Manager, Director of Outlets, Director of Restaurants, or FOH Department Manager from a full-service, upscale, restaurant concept is required
  • High volume and new opening experience highly preferred

Compensation Package Includes:

  • Base Salary in the $100-110k range DOE
  • Monthly Bonus Structure
