Upscale contemporary American restaurant in San Diego is seeking a hands-on Chef de Cuisine to come on board. The ideal candidate should be a strong leader, with high-volume experience and enjoy collaborating with the team. This is an energetic growing group with lots of potential!


Chef de Cuisine Responsibilities:

  • Creating incredible food of the highest caliber and ensuring all dishes meet top-quality standards
  • Proactively managing costs and budgets
  • Maintaining proper ordering and inventory
  • Managing staff: scheduling, hiring, training
  • Leading and mentoring a strong team
  • Ensuring best practices for safety and sanitation in the kitchen


Chef de Cuisine Preferred Requirements:

  • 2+ years of experience as an Executive Chef, Chef de Cuisine and/or Head Chef
  • Passion for quality ingredients
  • Professional and effective communication skills and leadership qualities
  • Exceptional standards for cleanliness, health, and safety
  • Expert knowledge in P&L, managing inventory, and cost controls
  • Flexible schedule, including weekends, and holidays


Compensation / Benefits:

  • Base Salary in the $90-95k range
