Successful, growing San Diego based restaurant group known for serving modern, innovative, and high-quality food is looking for a Chef de Cuisine to join their team. Candidates should have a passion for contemporary cuisine based in authentic Mexican roots and have a passion for chef driven, locally sourced dishes.

Chef de Cuisine Responsibilities:

  • Delivering food of the highest quality that is consistent with company standards
  • Scheduling, hiring, training and mentoring culinary team members
  • Proactively managing ordering, inventory, costs, and budgets
  • Following best practices and upholding high standards for safety and sanitation in the kitchen
  • Tracking new trends in the industry

Chef de Cuisine Preferred Requirements:

  • 3+ years of experience in a similar position (Senior Sous Chef, Executive Sous Chef, CDC)
  • Notable experience with Mexican cuisine a plus
  • Excellent communication skills and leadership qualities
  • Exceptional standards for cleanliness, health, and safety regulations
  • Experience in scratch cooking and locally sourced ingredients
  • Knowledge of administrative tasks and performance management
  • Flexible schedule, including weekends, and holidays

Compensation/Benefits Include:

  • Base Salary Range of $75-85k
  • Medical
  • PTO
