Progressive, independent restaurant group in the Seattle area is seeking a Vice President of Operations to oversee all aspects of the business and provide top-tier leadership to the management teams in all venues. This is a multifaceted role that will be responsible for leading marketing, innovation, and hospitality standards companywide, with an emphasis on attracting, hiring, and developing top management talent at each location. The ideal candidate has a true ownership mentality and extensive experience with hands-on, high level multi-unit management. This role will report directly to ownership. VP Responsibilities:

  • Attract and lead/motivate top talent to the team as leaders of each location
  • Work as a resource for all Managers in the group. Nurture those relationships and help support their vision as it’s consistent with the group’s values
  • Prepares reports by collecting, analyzing, and summarizing data and trends
  • Leading marketing plans, innovation, and upholding hospitality standards company-wide
  • Build annual budgets for all restaurants and train all GMs/Managers on budgets and hold them accountable for the numbers
  • Problem-solve and work on site to fix issues and train management staff to continue to improve
  • Systems focused and ability to drive revenue
  • Work to standardize any manuals or forms that can better help streamline operations throughout the restaurants
  • Monitor restaurant performance to identify emerging trends and areas of opportunity, including new technology or service models
  • Provide structures, support and training and development
  • Help management staff to drive initiatives consistently
  • Help source, implement, refine and streamline company systems (such as POS, Payroll, On-boarding, Catering, Reservations)
  • Oversee the planning and critical path of any new restaurant openings
  • Provide any additional support to the restaurants
  • Create and maintain a culture that is in tune with the company ethos

Candidate Requirements:

  • 5+ years in Executive level positions, Vice President of Operations and/or 8-10 years’ Director level experience in full service, upscale/upscale casual restaurant concepts
  • Strategic background with a passion for hospitality
  • Ability to attract and develop top-tier management talent
  • Ownership mentality when operating the business
  • New restaurant opening experience
  • Ability to relocate to Washington State / Seattle area
  • Excellent financial acumen and experience with budgeting, forecasting, and P&L management.
  • Outstanding problem-solving and decision-making abilities, with a proactive and solution-oriented mindset
  • Exceptional communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to build strong relationships with internal teams and external stakeholders
  • Knowledge of industry regulations, health and safety standards, and compliance requirements
  • Must be able to work flexible hours necessary to manage and operate the business effectively
  • Requires long stretches of standing, occasional carrying, pushing or pulling of items up to 50 lbs in weight

Compensation Includes:

  • $150-180K+ Base Salary DOE
