Very rare wilderness-to-table project with seasoned professionals! A one-of-a-kind property is launching in Oregon and looking for a creative, imaginative, and customer-focused Executive Chef to lead the culinary program. This is for an off the beaten path locale and ideal for a Chef who enjoys the great outdoors. The role will entail overseeing restaurant services, guest chef dinners, unique offerings, and growing schedule for the garden. Of note, this is not a seasonal role and will be year around.

Live fire cooking required! 

Executive Chef Responsibilities:

  • Surpass guest expectations of a typical micro-boutique property, including innovating dining experiences for guests
  • Source, develop and further existing relationships with local growers, ranchers, and fishers 
  • Proactively managing costs and budgets, including ordering, inventory and other admin items
  • Ensuring that all food meets the highest standards of quality and consistency
  • Leading and mentoring a strong team, including scheduling, hiring, and training/development
  • Ensuring best practices for safety and sanitation in the kitchen

Executive Chef Preferred Requirements:

  • 3+ years as a Chef de Cuisine or Executive Chef in chef-driven, ingredient driven concepts
  • Relais & Chateaux, Michelin or James Beard experience highly preferred
  • Live fire cooking experience required
  • Comfort with a wide range of cuisines and excited to play with varied global nuances
  • Excellent communication skills and leadership qualities
  • Exceptional standards for cleanliness, health, and safety
  • Expert knowledge and fully fluent in P&L, managing inventory, and cost controls
  • Flexible schedule, including weekends, and on holidays

Compensation / Benefits:

  • The salary range is broad. For someone earlier in their career, the range would be approximately $100-$125k, versus someone more seasoned and comes from highly respected & acclaimed restaurants commands a larger salary in the $125-$175k+ range.
