This charming eatery offers a fresh, artisanal bakery & café for breakfast and lunch, with full dinner service in the evenings. The team is looking for an experienced, organized, and open-minded General Manager to lead the team with a positive, hands-on approach. Someone who can understand and appreciate the community, and develop strong relationships with both guests and staff. Looking for the GM to cultivate a positive work environment while holding the team to high standards, and delivering top-tier service. General Manager Responsibilities:

  • Perform all aspects of the job with a high level of professionalism and integrity
  • Establish a positive work culture that is in line with company culture, values, and philosophies
  • Managing costs
  • Guiding and leading the team
  • Having a strong but approachable floor presence and interacting with guests
  • Developing a positive relationship with guests
  • Taking ownership of the business to increase sales and profitability
  • Ensure an outstanding dining experience by monitoring consistent quality, service and atmosphere for all guests that are in line with company standards
  • Increasing brand awareness by creating marketing plans
  • Setting an example to the team by providing excellent hospitality and service at all times
  • Anticipating needs of the restaurant and acting upon them
  • Ensure quality and consistency of all products served
  • Ensure all equipment is kept clean and in excellent working condition.
  • Be knowledgeable of restaurant policies regarding personnel and deliver prompt, fair and consistent corrective action for any and all violations of company policies, rules and procedures.
  • Fully understand and comply with all federal, state, county and municipal regulations that pertain to health, safety and labor requirements

General Manager Qualifications:

  • Minimum 3 years’ experience as a Restaurant General Manager (GM), FOH General Manager, or FOH Department Manager or 5+ years of experience as a Restaurant Assistant General Manager (AGM), Food & Beverage (F&B) Manager, Senior Manager, or FOH Manager in a full-service, upscale, restaurant concept is required
  • Proven track record in leading and motivating a team
  • Strong knowledge of and passion for food and beverage
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills
  • Strong interpersonal skills
  • Strong attention to detail and very highly organized
  • Effective problem-solving skills
  • A lead by example approach
  • Humble and open-minded personality
  • Ability to thrive in a high-pressure environment
  • Exceptional standards for cleanliness, health, and safety
  • Experience in managing P&L
  • Flexible schedule, including weekends, and on holidays
  • Food Safety Certification
  • Be able to stand/walk for long periods of time
  • Develops relationships with guests to create & maintain guest retention
  • Process driven and able to implement operating procedures that will continue to maximize efficiency

Compensation Package Includes:

  • Base Salary in the $95-105k range DOE
