Popular, vivacious, neighborhood concept looking for a passionate chef to revamp and elevate their menu. Looking for someone with a strong palate and knack for international flavors. Unique opportunity to reinvent a popular, existing concept with scratch cooking! Very open to an up-and-coming Sous chef, Executive Sous Chef, or Chef de Cuisine looking to step up into a bigger leadership role.
Responsibilities include:
- Overseeing the full scope of the kitchen on a day-to-day basis
- Create menu items, develop and cost recipes, inventory and train cooks on proper execution
- Staff Management (scheduling, hiring, training)
- Work cleanly, efficiently, and with respect for ingredients
- Effectively Manage Costs and Labor
- Leading and mentoring a strong team
- Report to senior management and ownership
Executive Chef Preferred Requirements:
- 3+ years of experience Sous Chef / Exec Sous Chef or 1+ years experience Chef de Cuisine or Executive Chef
- Passionate, creative, and talented
- A positive leader who is organized and with great communication skills
- Enforcement of safety/sanitation standards and procedures
- Food handlers license
- Appreciation for scratch cooking and international flavors
- Experience in managing inventory and cost controls
Compensation includes:
- Base salary in the 70-80K Range
- PTO plan
- Medical insurance
