Executive Chef Responsibilities:

  • Refining and developing menu items inspired by the bounty of the Southwest
  • Hands on mentality to leading the kitchen, comfortable executing dishes of high quality and consistency
  • Maintaining proper ordering and inventory
  • Fostering a positive kitchen culture along with other aspects of people management (scheduling, hiring, training)
  • Proactively managing costs and budgets
  • Leading and mentoring a strong team
  • Ensuring best practices for safety and sanitation in the kitchen

Executive Chef Preferred Requirements:

  • 3+ years of experience in a senior leadership role as a Chef de Cuisine / Sr. Sous Chef or 1 year as an Executive Chef
  • Chef-driven background in James Beard or Michelin concepts
  • Creative, innovative thinking – excited about local ingredients!
  • Excellent communication skills and leadership qualities
  • Spanish language skills highly preferred
  • Exceptional standards for cleanliness, health, and safety
  • Flexible schedule, including weekends, and on holidays

Compensation / Benefits:

  • Base salary in the $100-115k range with flexibility to come up to $125k for someone with recent Michelin, James Beard, or other noteworthy experience
