Top LA restaurant group is looking to bring on a Chef de Cuisine. The restaurant boasts a Modern Californian Cuisine inflected with Korean nuances. Early foundation in James Beard or Michelin establishments with recent experience in chef-driven seasonal kitchens highly preferred. Great opportunity with a strong team!

Chef de Cuisine Responsibilities:

  • Create dishes using only the highest caliber ingredients
  • Staff Management including scheduling, hiring and training
  • Leading and Mentoring a strong team
  • Coaching and developing the team
  • Effectively Manage Costs and Labor
  • Creating thoughtful food that fits the aesthetic of the restaurant

Chef de Cuisine Preferred Requirements:

  • 3+ years minimum experience in similar role (Chef de Cuisine, Exec Sous, Sous Chef, Senior Sous Chef) or 1 year as Executive Chef
  • Solid grasp on menu costing, food cost, and labor cost
  • Early foundation in Michelin or James Beard establishments highly preferred.
  • Passion for both food and guest satisfaction
  • Ability to effectively oversee Sous Chefs
  • Highly motivated, passionate, and have a strong sense of humility
  • Flexibility in scheduling including working nights, weekends, and holidays

Compensation includes:

  • Base salary in the $80-100k range dependent on experience with a small amount of flexibility to come up to $110k
  • PTO plan
  • 100% medical coverage for individual
