Exciting new Italian restaurant from successful international group is looking for two Sous Chefs to join the team. The menu will draw from Southern, Central and Northern Italy with local California, seasonal ingredients. Awesome opportunity to join a well-respected group and a highly anticipated new opening!

Sous Chef Responsibilities:

  • Ensuring that all food meets the highest standards of quality and consistency
  • Leading and mentoring a strong culinary team, including hands on in the kitchen and on the line
  • Collaborate with and support the culinary management team (Executive Chef, CDC, hourly employees)
  • Proper ordering and inventory
  • Ensuring best practices for safety and sanitation in the kitchen
  • Keeping track of new trends in the industry
  • Creating thoughtful food that fits the aesthetic of the concept

Sous Chef Preferred Requirements:

  • 2+ years of experience in a similar position (Sous Chef, Kitchen Manager, Kitchen Supervisor) but also open to someone more junior
  • Love for unique, quality, locally sourced ingredients
  • Excellent communication skills and leadership qualities
  • Ability to thrive in a high-pressure environment
  • Highly motivated, passionate, and have a strong sense of humility
  • Exceptional standards for cleanliness, health, and safety
  • Flexible schedule, including weekends, and on holidays
